George IV silver vinaigrette, the oblong form with vermicular engraving, the case front with applied flowers and rim in relief, opening to reveal a silver-gilt interior, the hinged grille engraved similarly to the lid and with simple drilled holes. Hallmarked Thomas & William Simpson Birmingham 1821. Length measuring 2.8 cm, weight 12.5 grams.

The lot displays general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Discolouration to the interior. The hinge perhaps a little twisted, the two halves not quite aligning. Hallmarks rubbed but legible.
