A Victorian silver swing handle basket of shallow oval form, central initial engraving, bordered by engraved floral swags, vertical pierced gallery, further engraved borders and reeded rim. Hallmarked Henry Wilkinson & Co London 1876. Length measuring 11 1/4 inches (28.5 cm), weight 16.4 ozt (512 grams).

Condition Report

The basket displays general surface scratches, marks and wear commensurate with the age and use. Heavy tarnishing visible and would benefit from a clean and polish. Minor dent to the pierced gallery. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
