Lot Description

Edwardian silver vesta case of oblong form, scroll and initial engraving, hallmarked E J Trevitt & Sons Chester 1908. Together with an Edwardian silver dual sovereign case, hallmarked Birmingham 1909 and a further silver vesta case with wrythen decoration, hallmarks illegible. Gross weight 2 ozt (63 grams). (3).

The lot appears in quite poor condition. The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Heavy denting to the lot, particularly the sovereign case. The first vesta case has become concave. The second vesta case also displays splits, engraving and hallmarks almost completely worn. Clasp not working to the sovereign case, missing bow and heavily tarnished.
