Late Victorian silver vesta case, of oval form and decorated with bright cut engraved leaves and floral sprigs, engraved personal initials to one side. Hallmarked Joseph Gloster, Birmingham 1895. Measuring 4 cm by 2.5 cm, gross weight 13.8 grams.

The vesta case displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some deeper scratches are visible and some minor nicks and surface dints in the metal. Slight loss of detail to the decoration. Hinges in working order. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
