Lot Description

Victorian silver vesta case of oblong form, foliate engraving and initial engraved cartouche, hallmarked Birmingham 1895, height measuring 4.5 cm. Together with an early twentieth century silver cigarette case with foliate engraving and initial engraved cartouche, hallmarked Robert Pringle & Sons Birmingham 1918, height measuring 9 cm. Gross combined weight 3.7 ozt (116 grams). (2).

Condition Report

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The cigarette case appears particularly dented and discoloured to the interior. Initial engravings to both items. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
