A Victorian silver vesta case of oblong form with foliate engraving and personal initial engraving. Hallmarked Birmingham 1898, the maker’s mark J.G, height measuring 4.3 cm. Together with an Edwardian silver propelling pencil, hallmarked Thomas Henry Vale Birmingham 1905. (2).

The lot displays general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The hinge a little loose to the vesta when closed. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
