Lot Description

An early twentieth century large silver tray of oval form, the plain body with moulded gadrooned rim, interspaced with acanthus mounted shells, twin handles conforming in decoration. Hallmarked Atkin Brothers Sheffield 1914. Length including handles 26 1/2 inches (67 cm), weight 112 ozt (3489 grams).

In good overall condition. The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. A few heavier scratches to the main surface. Remnants of a sticky label. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
