A late 19th century pietra dura brooch. The replacement multi-shade paste pietra dura panel, depicting a floral scene, to the plain surround with scroll accents. Length 5.7cms.

Condition Report

Overall condition fair to poor. The frame of the brooch is late 19th century, the back panel of the pietra dura panel is possibly old however, the paste inlay has been added with visible glue residue and repair. The hinge to the clasp appears to have been repaired at a later date, there is discolouration to the scroll detail. Weight 24.2gms.
