Lot Description

A late 19th century 15ct gold gem set ring.The two rectangular-shape emeralds with pear-shape purple gem sides, to the seed pearl surround and engraved band. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1924. Weight 2.1gms.

Overall condition good to fair with light scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear and age of piece. The emeralds show some surface abrasion, with small nibbles to some outer facets, one slightly more oval in shape. The purple gem show some surface abrasion to facet edges, with possible replacement with one. The seed pearls fairly well matched , some later replacements, most with surface blemishes. Ring size P.
