Lot Description
A late Victorian 18ct gold opal and diamond dress ring. The three oval opal cabochons, with old-cut diamond double spacers, to the scrolling gallery and plain band. Estimated total diamond weight 0.50ct, I-J colour, SI2-P2 clarity. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1897. Weight 6.7gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition good. There are scratches to the ring in keeping with overall wear. The opals have a white body colour, displaying oranges, blues and greens, there is heavy abrasion and a chip to the central opal. The diamonds are bright, there is a surface reaching fracture to one of the outer diamonds and some significant chips to one of the spacer diamonds. Some settings may need to be secured.
