Lot Description
An early 20th century 15ct gold amethyst, demantoid garnet, seed pearl and enamel pendant. The circular-shape amethyst, within a white and black spot enamel curved border, to the circular-shape demantoid garnet and seed pearl highlights, may be worn as a brooch. Diameter 2.3cms. Weight 8.1gms. With fitted case.

Condition Report
Overall condition good. There are scratches to the back of the pendant in keeping with the age of the piece. The amethyst is a pinkish purple with a moderate saturation of colour. The demantoid garnets are well matched, there is a horsetail inclusions visible to one garnet with magnification. There is abrasion to some of the facets edges and one garnet is chipped. The seed pearls are well matched, with a white body colour, and slight blemishes visible with magnification. The enamel to the curved border is in good condition, there are some nibbles to the edge of the curved edging close to the suspender, there are a couple of chips to the suspender, easily visible with magnification. The box is scuffed and worn, with some dirt to the inner velvet. The inner satin has Penlington & Batty Liverpool & Manchester W Batty & Sons Ltd stamped on it on gold coloured lettering.
