Lot Description

A late Victorian 18ct gold diamond snake ring. The old-cut diamond head with rose-cut diamond eyes, to the coiled band. Principal diamond estimated weight 0.50ct, I-J colour, P2 clarity. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1888. Weight 7gms.

Overall condition fair. There are scratches to the ring in keeping with the age of the ring. There is a significant black internal fracture to the diamond, that is just surface reaching and some chips to the outer facets. There is abrasion to the rose-cut diamond eyes. The inner hallmark is clear. The settings may need to be secured. Ring size Q.
