An alloy cased manual wind German navigator's observation watch by A. Lange & Sohne circa 1940, the matt black dial having an inner hour track surrounded by an outer graduated seconds track with five minute markers, both with luminescent Arabic numerals, anti-magnetic nickel silver alloy case, inner cover marked Beobachtungsuhr Bauart: Lange & Sohne, case side marked with contract number Fl 23883, fitted with a signed frosted gilt calibre 48 with hack setting feature, movement number 214739. Case diameter 55mm. Watch A/F.

German observers watch by A. Lange & Sohne, movement is not functioning however crown is currently loose from watch so unable to wind movement or change time, dial shows some scratches and marks, there is discolouration to the paint work, hands show scratches and disintegration to paint work, glass is scratched and marked from use, case has medium scratches from use and there is discolouration to the metal, as previously mentioned crown is loose, case back does not secure to case which would require attention. This lot is for watch head only which is not fitted to any form of strap.
