Lot Description
A George III silver key wind pair case pocket watch, the white enamel dial with hourly applied Roman numerals, bordered by a minute track, round case with name engraved to the rear, hallmarked London 1763, fitted with a gilt full plate fusee and chain movement signed Matthew Hill, London, with square baluster pillars, cylinder escapement, pierced balance cock and diamond end stone. Case diameter 43mm. Outer case missing. Together with a non-original base metal case protector.

Pair case pocket watch, movement is not functioning, unable to wind movement and will require attention to get back into working order, dial has dark marks and scratches from use, hands are in poor condition, hands appear discoloured, minute hand is badly damaged, glass is scratched and showing marks and residue from use, case has medium scratches from use, case appears tarnished and discoloured, back of case shows personal engraving, bow and pendant are scratched and scuffed, lot comes with protective case which is not the original case, additional case is far too large for the pocket watch and is not the correct or original case.
