A George IV 18ct gold key wind open face pocket watch by K. Stuart, Liverpool, the gilt dial with hourly applied Roman numerals, outer minute track, floral and foliate decoration to the centre and outside of the dial, circular shaped case with engine turned decoration and a vacant cartouche to rear, hallmarked Chester 1828, fitted with a signed fusee and chain movement with ratchet tooth lever escapement and Liverpool window jewelling. Case diameter 52mm. Total weight 147gms. With key.

Condition Report
A pocket watch, movement is currently functioning, tarnishing and light scratches to the movement, it would benefit from a service, there is eccentricity to the action of the balance, dial has tiny marks, a few areas of discolouration and what appears to be repair work to the central motif, scratches to the numerals, hands have been painted and the paint is cracking and coming away, hands are also scratched with tiny marks, slight bend in the hour hand, boss showing signs of wear, glass has medium scratches, some may polish out, deeper marks may remain, case has medium scratches and tiny dints, dent/score marks on the edge of the case, pendant and bow have medium scratches and tiny dints. Hinges appear generally intact.
