A Victorian silver key wind open face Joseph Newton pocket watch, the cream tone dial with hourly applied black Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds dial positioned to six o'clock, bordered by a minute track with Arabic divisions at five minute intervals, circular shaped case with a vacant cartouche to rear, hallmarked Chester 1842, fitted with a signed full plate fusee and chain movement with ratchet tooth lever escapement. Case diameter 51mm.

Key wind pocket watch, movement is not functioning and will require attention to get back into working order, dial is discoloured, cracked and scratched, paint work to dial is discoloured, hands are damaged, discoloured and marked, glass is scratched from use, case has medium scratches from use, design to case back is rubbed, hinges are functioning, bow and pendant are scratched,bow is loose and possible replacement.
This lot does not come with box or papers.
Due to the opening of the case back we recommend that this lot be resealed by an authorised technician before use near water.
