Lot Description
A Victorian silver lever wind open face pocket watch by A. Burdess of Coventry, the silvered dial with hourly applied Roman numerals, subsidiary sunken seconds dial positioned to six o'clock, bordered by a minute track, round case with milled band, engine turned decoration and a vacant cartouche to rear, hallmarked London 1870, fitted with a signed full plate movement with ratchet tooth lever escapement. Case diameter 49mm.

Condition Report
Lever wind pocket watch, movement is currently functioning however the balance wheel does not appear flat, dial shows light marks and scratches, hands show discolouration and light chips to the paint work, glass shows light marks and scratches from use, case has medium scratches from use, case back is scratched and design is rubbed and scratched, side of case shows scratches and light damage to the side of the case form previous opening of the case back, inner case back is scratched and shows personal engraving, bow and pendant are scratched, marks are rubbed to the pendant, screw to hold bow in place is protruding.
