Lot Description
A Victorian silver key wind open face centre seconds pocket watch, the cream dial with hourly applied Roman numerals, bordered by a minute track with Arabic divisions, round case with engine turned decoration, hallmarked Chester 1873, fitted with an unsigned three quarter plate fusee and chain movement with ratchet tooth lever escapement. Case diameter 51mm. Together with a silver key wind open face pocket watch signed H. White.

Condition Report
Centre seconds pocket watch, key wind movement is currently functioning sporadically and will require some attention, some tiny marks and pieces of debris to the dial, area of cracking to the top of the dial around the twelve o'clock marker, very tiny nicks to the edge of the dial, tiny marks to the hands, glass is lightly scratched, case has medium scratches and tiny dints, some heavy wear to the engine turned decoration to the case in particular to the band but also to the rear, pendant and bow have medium scratches.
Open face pocket watch, key wind movement is not currently functioning, hairspring is broken, further damage is likely so we would recommend that this watch is serviced, light cracking through the centre of the dial, tiny marks and pieces of debris to the dial and hands, rusting to the minute hand, seconds hand is missing, case is heavily tarnished with medium scratches, some heavy wear to the engine turned decoration to the case in particular to the rear, some large dents also to the case, pendant and bow are tarnished with medium scratches.
