An East India Company-type blunderbuss. With flared and partially facetted 16-inch barrel having pseudo proof marks, the iron flintlock stamped 'RIMES', the walnut rifle-type stock with brass strapwork collar incised with Eastern figures, 31.5", (80cm) high.

Loss to tip beneath barrel. Ramrod possibly later. Holes beneath barrel for wall hanging. Crack from tip of flintlock plate to brass collar, plus another to opposite side; overall, a decorative but crude and damaged refurbishment.
