After Josef Thorak, (1889-1952). A silvered bronze figure of Victory, modelled as a naked female holding aloft a wreath with Nazi swastika to centre, modelled in standing pose on a canted base cast verso "THORAK", 13.25", (33.5cm) high, on a green-veined black marble cuboid plinth, 16", (41cm) high overall. Thorak and Arno Breker were the two official sculptors of the Third Reich and Thorak created many monumental pieces including those at the 1936 Berlin Olympics.

General dirt and tarnishing plus small dints/knocks. The signature verso is slightly weak and therefore the figure could be of later date than the lifetime of the sculptor. Dirt could be deliberate 'ageing'...
