A late 19th century Italian presepio (Nativity crib) figure. Modelled in standing pose with feathered conical hat and striped headscarf, cravat and waistcoat beneath a black cloak, red breeches and knee-length socks and clogs, his waist bandolier concealing a pistol, on a red-painted square base, 15.5", (39.5cm) high.
