A late 19th century Samson porcelain figure representing Europe. The female figure wearing a crown and holding an orb and sceptre, with gilt-trimmed white mantle and ermine-trimmed floral skirt, seated side-saddle upon a rearing white horse, a globe, book and protractor at her feet to the flower-encrusted oval base, 7.25", (18.5cm) high.

Right ear of horse id detached (but present) and has a small flake chip. Two typical losses to flowers. Maker's mark verso (probably a gilt anchor) has been erased. Some rubbing to foot rim.
