Lot Description

A black lacquered chinoiserie mantel clock. Circa 1900, Having a 5.25" white-enamelled convex Arabic dial , the two-train movement, number 5812, striking on a coiled gong, the case with ogee caddy top and brass scroll handle over lacquered reliefs depicting seated maidens at work in a landscape, on brass splayed bracket feet, 10.75", (27.5cm) high, sold with original numbered pendulum.

Haircracks to dial around 12-1. Movement sound, Case generally good - handle is stuck at an odd angle, some minor chipping to edges but overall good. Wear to silk backing of rear door grille so this requires replacement.
