An early 20th century French tortoiseshell effect mantel clock, retailed by Elkington & Co. Ltd., Glasgow, the 4.75" cream enamelled dial with segmented Roman hours and Arabic minutes framing retailers inscription and 'Made in Paris', the two-train movement also stamped as above and numbered 1229 72, half hour striking on a coiled gong, the waisted shaped case with gilt metal foliate surmount, edging and supports, 21 " (53cm) high, with pendulum and winder

Condition Report
Dial good but no glass to bezel. Movement appears sound but is untested. Original numbered pendulum. General cracking and flaking to tortoiseshell effect, including 2 - 3" loss to plastic like coating to lower part of one side. Burn mark or scar to opposite side. Cracks to surmount. Crack to front.
