Lot Description

A Victorian A-frame skeleton timepiece. Anonymous, having a 4.75" dodecagonally-lobed Roman chapter ring, the four-pillar wire-driven single fusee movement with wheels of four crossings, the shouldered A-frame with leaf scroll terminals, 11", (28cm) high, on a stepped hardwood base, 13.75", (35cm) high overall, sold with pendulum and winder.

Chapter ring has been white-painted and is flaking to some lobes. Movement looks sound. Brasswork needs a clean. Later base, no dome.
