Lot 862

Lot Description

A cased brass carriage clock. With white Roman dial, original lever platform escapement beneath bevelled oval roof glazing, and unmarked single-train timepiece movement within corniche case, 4.1", (10.5cm) high excluding handle, in a hide travelling box, sold with winder.

Postage: Auction Default

Weight: No

Total lot weight: No

Dial is sound. Balance wheel moves when prompted. Case needs a polish and the rear door has a coppery lustre to it. Hide box is generally very worn to roof (significant surface loss), cracking and rubbing to one corner, handle missing, and sliding panel has been stored internally so is a brighter colour than rest of box.
