An early 19th century oak-cased 8 day painted dial longcase clock. Aris, Uppingham, circa 1820-30. Having a 12-inch break-arched Roman dial with subsidiary seconds dial and calendar crescent, signed beneath, within rose spandrels beneath and arch with country cottage, the movement with false-plate stamped S. BAKER BIRMINGHAM, the case with swan-neck pediment over shaped trunk door on shortened base, 78.75", (200cm) high, sold with two weights, pendulum and winder.

Dial - crazed and stained, numbers smudged.
Movement - needs a clean and overhaull, Bell reversed to silence it.
Case - at fault - base considerably shortened, dial glass cracked etc.
