A Victorian black lacquered papier mache pedestal work table. Having a hinged wavy-edged cover enclosing divisions, on a conforming bombe body and a hexagonally-facetted stem, lobed platform base and scroll feet on castors, the whole profusely inlaid with gilt-enriched mother of pearl shard decoration, 20" x 14" x 31" high, (51cm x 35.5cm x 79cm).

Condition Report
Mother of pearl inlay missing to cover (should be Doves of Pliny). Gilt rubbed. Internal divisions partially reassembled but defective. Whole is a little wobbly and lop-sided. General rubbing/wear to decoration commensurate with age and use.
