Lot Description

An early 20th century 15ct gold reverse-carved intaglio stickpin. The circular-shape intaglio depicting a bulldog with black and gold collar and reproachful expression. Diameter 1.8cms. With associated case, marked Nathan & Co.

The lot is in good overall condition with scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. Glue-like substance to reverse of mount. There is slight discolouration to a patch of mother-of-pearl backing. Very minor paint loss. Stamped 15ct. The pin has a screw fitting to tip. Weight of stickpin 6.8gms. The box shows spots of discolouration, small holes to fabric.
