An early 20th century 18ct gold ruby and diamond ring. The oval-shape ruby, weighing 0.97ct, to the old-cut diamond trefoil sides. Accompanied by report number 06853, from The Gem and Pearl Laboratory, dated 9th December 2012, stating that the ruby is of Burmese origin with evidence of moderate heat treatment. Estimated total diamond weight 0.70ct, J-K colour, SI2-P1 clarity. Weight 5gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition good. Surface scratches, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general wear. Diamond bright, two with black inclusions, minor surface abrasion to facet edges, some moderate to significant naturals to the crown facets in some of the diamonds, nibbles to girdles as expected with old-cut stones. Ruby medium red colour, well saturated, typical inclusions, minor surface abrasion to facet edges. Stamped J. S 18. Band may have been re-sized and is uneven in areas. Ring size M.
