Lot Description

A mid 20th century platinum and 18ct gold diamond and gem-set cocktail watch. The rectangular-shape dial, within a old-cut diamond surround, to the pave-set diamond strap with carved ruby, sapphire and emerald foliate highlights. Estimated total diamond weight 3ct. Watch case with French assay marks. Length 19.5cms. Weight 33.7gms.

Condition Report

Overall condition good. Minor surface wear in keeping with general wear. One carved gem deficient. The diamonds are bright, lively and well matched. Light nicks and chips can be seen to some. Fine feathers and fractures can be seen under magnification. Individual size and setting prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Please see the Important Notice for Purchasers in our catalogue for coloured gemstones. Case with assay marks for platinum, strap tests as 18ct gold.
