ROLEX - an 18k gold automatic gentleman's Oyster Perpetual Day-Date wrist watch circa 1981, the champagne tone dial with hourly applied batons, bordered by a minute track with Roman divisions, day and date apertures positioned to twelve and three o'clock, fluted bezel, tonneau shaped case, reference number 18038, serial number 7016584, fitted to a non-original brown leather strap with plated pin buckle, signed calibre 3055. Case width 36mm.

Rolex Oyster Perpetual Day-Date wrist watch, movement is currently functioning, movement shows some light marks, dial shows light marks and pitting, hourly markers show scratches, hands are lightly marked, glass is scratched from use, there are some small chips and nibbles to the edge of the glass, case has medium scratches from use, with a few small scuffs and tiny dints, bezel is lightly scratched, case back is scratched and showing residue from previous use, crown is lightly marked from use but functioning, non-original strap is in good condition with only minimal signs of wear and creasing, small area of residue on the pin buckle.
This lot comes with a Rolex box however it is not the correct box for the watch.
Please note this lot does not come with papers.
Due to the opening of the case back we recommend that this lot be resealed by an authorised technician before use near water.
