A mid 20th century continental 9ct gold and platinum diamond and cultured pearl brooch. Of openwork design, the three cultured pearls, inset to the old-cut diamond stylised bow. Estimated total diamond weight 3.20cts. Length 6.4cms. Weight 13.8gms. With associated case.

Condition Report
Overall condition good. Minor surface wear in keeping with age. Replacement brooch fitting and pin. Some areas of dark discolouration to the front. Cultured pearls creamy colour, rose and bluish overtones. Fairly good skins with some surface blemishes. Fairly good lustre. Pearls well matched. Diamonds bright and well matched. Some are drawing more of a yellowish hue than others. Individual size or setting prevents accurate colour/clarity assessment. Principal diamonds have minor to large inclusions visible under 10x magnification. Some inclusions are surface reaching. Principal diamonds generally in good condition, there are small nicks to the surface of one, large nibbles to the girdles of two. Other diamonds vary in clarity from minor to profuse light and dark inclusions, durability may be affected in one. Generally in good condition with some abrasion and nibbles, with large nibbles and nicks to some.
