A pair of Japanese Meiji period bronze figures. Each modelled as a spear-fisherman with wicker creel, their cloaks decorated with shell motifs, one with an eel coiled around his leg, 7", (18cm) high excluding spear, on associated hardwood stands.

Condition Report
Spears both at fault - one bent, the other snapped and reduced. Otherwise both good with good patination. Each figure has square holes beneath feet to fit onto a base - the associated hardwood bases (probably from ivory okimono) have been plugged to support the figures.
