A pair of early 19th century watercolour portraits of young girls
Each painted in naïve or primitive style, the full-length figures each depicted in a landscape, the younger in red dress holding a posy and basket, the elder in blue dress holding a book, 7.5” x 6”, (19cm x 15cm), in gilt slips and rosewood frames under glass, (2).

Both somewhat faded and brownish but otherwise undamaged and still charming. Both frames scratched; first has a loss to lower left edge, second has a loss to upper right edge.
