A good Victorian brass skeleton timepiece with passing strike. The unusually small 3.5-inch silvered Roman chapter ring with ogee-cut inner border before a knopped six-pillar wire-driven single-fusee movement with wheels of four crossings, the tall scrollwork frame surmounted by a bell with acorn finial, 16.5", (42cm) high, on an ebonised circular base with intact circular glass dome, 20.25", (51.5cm) high overall.
