Lot 662

Lot Description

A rare Jaeger LeCoultre ‘Prestige’ Atmos clock, No. 0232.

The 4.25-inch white-enamelled convex chapter ring framing a partially-exposed 15-jewel movement with Breguet hands, over six-studded torsion pendulum, the base with bubble dial and plaque ‘No 0232’, the bevelled five-glass case (including hinged front door inscribed ‘ATMOS’ and ‘JAEGER-LE COULTRE’), within cavetto-moulded frame on moulded apron and adjustable milled

toupie feet, 10.5”, (26.5cm) high, in fitted Jaeger LeCoultre box.
The preceding model, number 231, with solid dial rather than chapter ring, was sold at auction earlier this year. Only two further examples are known to have been sold at auction since 2000.

Excellent condition - torsion wheel moves when released, but movement not tested for
