Lot Description

A George III inlaid mahogany stick barometer.
John Duncan of Perth, circa 1800.
The silvered scale with engraved named banner, the scroll terminals named 'BAROMETER' and 'THERMOMETER' over remarks and a simple wire vernier, behind hinged boxwood-strung hinged door, the conforming trunk with ivory finial and 'broken' pediment over exposed main tube and oval cistern cover, 39.75", (101cm) high.
