A small reproduction yew-wood escritoire. The upper stage with hinged 'secret' roof compartment over moulded cornice and arcaded frieze above a pair of cockbeaded drawers, the crossbanded fall front enclosing an oval-panelled cupboard between pilasters and pigeonholes, above drawers and an apron, the fall interior with green skiver, the projecting lower stage of four cockbeaded long drawers on ogee bracket feet, 23.5" x 17.5" x 54.5" high, (59.5cm x 45cm x 138.5cm).
