Lot Description
A mid 19th century gold garnet necklace, together with similarly designed ear pendants. The necklace designed as a series of graduated foil backed oval-shape garnets, to the partially concealed clasp, together with a pair of similarly designed garnet and split pearl ear pendants. Length of necklace 39cms. Length of ear pendants 2.7cms. Weight 22.8gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition good to fair. There are scratches to the necklace in keeping with the age of the piece. The garnets are fairly well matched and in good condition, there are typical inclusions visible with the unaided eye and some areas of abrasion. The clasp is secure. The safety chain has been added at a later date. The ear fittings to the ear pendants are replacements, there are some dents and damage to the back of the garnets in the earrings, the garnets are well matched with typical inclusions.
