A mid 20th century platinum ruby and diamond dress ring. Of stylised buckle design, the hexagonal-shape ruby, within a collet setting, to the single-cut diamond shoulders and bifurcated band. Estimated total diamond weight 0.40ct. Weight 5.1gms.

Overall condition good. Minor surface wear and light scratches in keeping with general wear. Some light nicks to the band. Ruby pinkish-red, moderate to good colour saturation. Fairly good clarity with typical inclusions, with a surface reaching fracture. Ruby in fair to good condition with some nibbles. Scattered to large inclusions, some surface reaching fractures. Diamonds in fair to good condition, some with minor abrasion, some with significant nibbles. Ring size K1/2.
