A late 19th century silver and 15ct gold sapphire and diamond ring. The oval-shape sapphire, with old and single-cut diamond openwork shoulders, to the tapered band. One paste replacement. Estimated total diamond weight 0.45ct. Weight 4gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition fair. Some surface wear and tarnishing in keeping with age. Evidence of repair and resizing to the band, band is wearing thin at the back. Band is slightly off-round due to resizing. Repair to the silver front, with two of the diamonds on the shoulders partially obscured. Settings are worn. Sapphire blue with moderate colour saturation. Fairly good clarity with typical inclusions, to include colour zoning. Sapphire in fair condition with some abrasion and nibbles to the facet edges. Individual size prevents accurate colour/clarity assessment. Clarity varies, some with minor inclusions, others with large surface reaching inclusions.
