Lot Description
A Georgian gold split pearl and enamel mourning ring. The central vacant panel, within a black enamel and split pearl surround, to the adjustable tapered band. Personal inscription to band and inner band. Weight 4gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition fair. There are scratches to the ring in keeping with the age of the piece. There is abrasion to the central glass panel, there is a significant chip to the black enamel surround. The split pearls vary in colour, some are slightly more grey. There are visible blemishes. The personal inscription to the outer band reads 'Ann Groom Ob. 17 Feby 1801 At 63', the inscription to the inner head of the ring reads 'Robinson Groom Esq Ob 10 Feby 1801 at 64'. The are three adjustable sizing aids to the back of the ring.
