Lot Description
A late Victorian gold split pearl and enamel sentimental ring, circa 1870. Designed as a series of split pearl slanted lines, with blue enamel intervals, to blue enamel floral shoulders and plain band. Personal inscription reads 'from JHB to his mother 1872'. Weight 3.3gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition fair. There are scratches to the ring in keeping with overall wear. Both of the shoulders have significant chips to the enamel. The split pearls are fairly well matched, there are slight blisters, they slightly vary in colour. The back of the band is split. The inner personal engraving is clear. Ring size L1/2.
