MURRLE BENNETT & CO. - an early 20th century 15ct gold gem-set brooch. Of openwork design, the oval turquoise cabochon and split pearl sides, to the entwined hearts panel. Maker's mark for Murrle Bennett & Co. Length 2.4cms. Weight 4.6gms.

Condition Report
The lot is in fair overall condition with light scratches in keeping with general wear. Stamped 15ct. There is a deep nick to the front of the brooch. One of the split pearls is deficient, the other is heavily scratched. Please see important notices for purchasers in the catalogue for Coloured Gemstones. The turquoise is a slightly greenish blue with minor dark matrix and green veins if discolouration. There are splits to the brooch at one of the joins.
