Lot Description
A late 19th century 15ct gold garnet single-stone pendant. Designed as a pear-shape garnet cabochon, to the grooved surmount, with vacant reverse panel, suspended from a later associated 9ct gold belcher-link chain. Length of pendant 2.5cms. Length of chain 45cms. Weight 12.7gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition good. Minor surface wear in keeping with general wear. The piece has been later converted into a pendant, with the addition of a suspension loop. Light bruising visible. Minor 'gaps' can be seen to the joins on the pendant. The garnet has a medium purplish red body colour. Typical inclusions are visible, some with the unaided eye.
