Lot Description
An early twentieth century silver epergne, the tapered hexagonal column with scalloped bowl, on circular foot, to the three similarly designed detachable trumpets and mounts, together with a 1930's silver candlestick, on filled bases. Epergne hallmarked Birmingham 1919, maker's mark distorted. Height of epergne 12 inches (30.5 cm).

Condition Report
The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The detachable trumpets have shallow dents to the bowls. Very small tears to the mounts to the main body for the mounts for the detachable trumpets. The filled foot has a large, noticeable dent to the edge. The candlestick has a soft solder repair to the base of the stem where it joins the foot and a possible slight repair to the nozzle. Hallmarked S Blanckensee & Sons Ltd, Birmingham 1937. The hallmarks are worn to both pieces, the maker's mark partially illegible to the epergne.
