Lot Description
An early twentieth century silver sauce boat of classic form, presentational engravings, high scrolling handle, gadrooned rim and raised above three shell feet, hallmarked Asprey & Co Ltd, Birmingham 1913. Together with an American silver soup ladle with tapered twist stem, marked sterling by Gorham Mfg. Co., a pair of Victorian silver mounted vanity bottles and various silver mounted dressing table items. Gross weighable silver 9.9 ozt (309 grams).

Condition Report
The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.
Numerous dents to the sauce boat, one appears with quite a sharp base. Dent also to the bowl of the ladle. Engravings to each side of the sauce boat relating to Solent Yacht Club 1914 and that no regatta was held due to the commencement of the Great War. Asprey maker's mark to the sauce boat is very rubbed. Dressing table items consist of a matching mirror and hairbrush and two further clothes brushes, one mount unmarked, they appear rubbed and dented, one of the silver mounts has become loose. Vanity bottles are in poor condition with dents, one hinge broken, both stoppers are stuck in position, numerous chips to the glass. Gross silver weight does not include vanity or dressing table items.
