Lot Description

An early twentieth century silver pedestal dish in hammered Arts & Crafts style, of elongated oval form with twin loop handles and pierced ivy leaf panels, studded border detail to the exterior and raised above a spreading square base with conforming studded border. Hallmarked Albert Edward Jones, Birmingham 1924. Maximum length measures 12 5/8 inches (32 cm), weight 11.82 ozt (367.8 grams).

The dish displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.  There are some deeper scratches and nicks visible, however the general overall condition appears good.  Some slight rubbing to edge of maker's mark but the hallmarks are still clear and legible.
