A George III silver loving cup, of plain outline with footed base and twin scroll handles. Hallmarked Peter, Ann & William Bateman, London 1801. Height measures 3 3/4 inches (9.5 cm), weight 5.21 ozt (162 grams).

Condition Report
The cup displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some deeper scratches and nicks are visible and various small surface dints and bumps. Some larger knocks to the foot rim and also some to the main rim, so that it is slightly misshapen. Possible repair to foot as some solder is visible to the reverse of a seam line. There is some rubbing and distortion to hallmarks, mainly to maker's mark, however they are all still legible.
